I am a young videogame designer, I love crafting innovative mechanics, designing compelling narratives, and collaborating with teams to bring ideas to life. Currently, I’m expanding my expertise in QA testing, level design, and programming, always eager to learn and grow in the gaming industry.
Who am I?
My name is Marta Varela, I am a young graduate from Madrid. Video games have been a part of my life since I was a child. They shaped my imagination, sparked my creativity, and became a way to experience incredible stories and emotions. The first game I played was «Pokemon Platinum» and since then I knew that games were more than just entertainment, they were powerful experiences that could inspire, connect, and move people.
That passion led me to pursue a career in game development, with the goal of creating worlds where players can feel the same excitement, wonder, and immersion that I felt growing up. I want to design games that leave a lasting impact, that tell meaningful stories, and that allow people to escape, dream, and explore.
Games to get to know me

Pokemon White
Game Freak
The game I remember most from my childhood where I began to understand the concept of mechanics and dynamics in video games and how they made the game entertaining. It could be considered my first turn-based RPG experience that I really understood at my young age.
Even to this day the game has aged very well, with interesting mechanics, captivating designs, impressive and immersive sound design and an engaging narrative.

Plants VS Zombies: Garden Warfare
Pop Cap Games
My first multiplayer experience on the PS3, a game from my childhood that I still cherish and remember fondly today. This game showed me more complex mechanics and linked to teamwork, where people connect and work for a common goal.
The game has a recognizable IP and uses very well what it has to offer to fans and players, with interesting designs, different but captivating game mechanics that complement the other characters with different play styles for every player to have their own.

Cult of the lamb
Massive Monster
In general I really like the games that the indie industry can bring to the world of video games, so many games that I am not able to choose, but I will talk about this one in specific.
This game manages to combine two styles of gameplay in one in an interesting and captivating way. The game has a lot of content with which a player can enjoy a very unique experience in my opinion, with a appealing visual style and entertaining mechanics.
